For many years I have been working hard at developing a writing style that is both knowledgeable and approachable. I feel the right balance was struck in this latest book. In an innovation driven economy, the purpose of this book is to assist the reader to fully leverage his or her creative capacity to become an invaluable organizational asset. Filled with practical advice based on more than 30 years of experience and knowledge, this book serves as a personal guide to higher levels of creative thinking.
Organizational Creativity is a wonderful book – so engaging, enlightening, and inspiring that readers will hardly notice how much they are learning. It gives a guided tour through each stage of the innovation process, from identifying and defining the most important problems, to generating breakthrough ideas, to successfully implementing the best solutions. Aspiring entrepreneurs, innovators, and business leaders will find here the keys to nurturing not only their best ideas but also their most creative selves.

Creative Leadership: Skills that Drive Change
One of my most profound and practical insights was the realization that creativity and leadership have much in common. I like to think of creativity as a way of thinking that leads to change, and leader as a person who serves as a catalyst for change. “Change” being the common factor between both constructs. This is a crucial revelation: in an ever-changing and complex world, leaders require a creative mindset and skillset to be effective. In the book, my co-authors and I make a case for the important connection between creativity and leadership, and then present an array of tools designed to improve leaders’ creative-thinking capacities. Leadership success depends on an ability to solve complex problems, and being equipped with improved creative problem-solving skills gives you a powerful competitive edge.
Leadership with hope. Fantastic. A profound, serious and inspiring book for those interested in understanding the roots and implications of leadership in organizations and society.

Creativity Rising: Creative Thinking and Creative Problem Solving in the 21st Century
My colleagues and I wrote this book to provide an easily digestible introduction to the field of creativity and to the Creative Problem-Solving Process. Written in a light and friendly tone, filled with stories and examples, this visually appealing book is highly engaging. Separating creativity facts from creativity fiction, this book moves from insights about the nature of creativity, to the recognition that creative thinking is widely considered a 21st century skill, to practical methods that are proven to promote higher levels of creative thinking and creative problem solving.
Creativity Rising is a book that appeals to the serious practitioner and to the curious. Its ”slim” appearance belies the wealth of information contained therein. Out of the countless creativity books in the market, ”Creativity Rising” stands out for its up-to-date information backed by relevant research. The text surprises the reader with its simplicity, yet it remains thought provoking. Clearly written tools and techniques make it an effortless read. I highly recommend this book to anyone interested in creativity or searching for an introductory textbook on applied creativity and innovation
